Hello!  I have another exciting Bicycle Safety Playground ( or Traffic Garden) update. The Bicycle Safety Playground is one step closer to being installed and it needs your help. 

With your support and donations, Palo Alto will create the first permanent Bicycle Safety Playground in the Bay Area at the Ventura Community Center on or before April of 2025 on a large, open asphalt surface that is currently underutilized. Donated funds through Friends of the Palo Alto Parks will support the cost of installation and maintenance of the Bicycle Safety Playground over approximately the next decade (the combined cost is estimated to be about $20,000).

The “Bicycle Safety Playground” will serve as a mixed-use space that is open to the public year round, and it will serve as a host location for regular events and programming provided by the City’s Safe Routes to School.

We need your help for the Bicycle Safety Playground to be installed. Your donation will contribute directly to a safer biking community in Palo Alto.
