Petition Delivered & Closed - Fingers Crossed they Let Nami & Dr. Myung Speak!
Apr 27, 2017 — Thank you again to all who singed and circulated this petition. I've made another attempt to convince the WVA to help spread awareness of The Vilest Trade by allowing Nami and Dr. Myung to speak at the Congress. The email sent to them today, to which I attached the final signatures PDF, is copied below FYI. Thank you again supporters.
Message to WVA
Hello again Zeev,
I hope this message finds you well. I'm just checking back to see if there have been any schedule changes to the Global Seminar on Animal Welfare agenda at this year's WVA congress that could allow a few minutes for the following local, South Korean professionals to share their experience with and knowledge of the dog meat trade during the Seminar. Both are highly respected members of the community, renowned for their dedication to animal health and welfare:
Dr. Myung Bo Young, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), and
Nami Kim, Founder & Director, Save Korean Dogs Sanctuary, savekoreandogs.org
Given their extensive experience working with animals from the Dog Meat Trade in a context local to the Congress location, I'm sure that a short, 10-minute presentation by Dr. Myung and Nami Kim would enrich the Seminar by bringing their real-life, recent insights and experience as well as solid medical case studies around dog meat consumption to the Congress. Surely they could be squeezed in?
As an act of goodwill and intentions for a positive partnership between the WVA and Anti-Dog-and-Cat-Meat-Trade community, I am closing the following petition (see screen capture below) and delivering the signatures to you, taking it out of circulation: https://www.change.org/p/boycott-the-world-veterinary-congress-in-south-korea-toxic-torture-hell-for-dogs-cats.
Please may Dr. Myung and Nami be given this small time slot to share and further enhance the conference experience for attendees? If this is a possibility, may I please put you in touch with them directly?
