Petition updateBoy Scout Leaders: Speak Out Against Discrimination and Harassment of Girls in ScoutingCouncil Member Keith Powers Supports Sydney Ireland in Scouting

Sydney IrelandNew York, NY, United States

Feb 21, 2018
New York City Council Member Keith Powers writes AT&T CEO-BSA President Randall Stephenson, urging the Boy Scout President to "admit Sydney to the Boy Scouts of America," stating that "Sydney started this movement. She serves as a leading voice in this national conversation, publishing an op-ed in 'The Washington Post' calling for girls to be admitted to the program. Because of Sydney, young girls across our nation can choose to be a part of this leading organization."
Thank you Council Member Powers for your continued support in welcoming all families into Scouting, regardless of sexual orientation or gender. We agree with you, "Girls are choosing Boy Scouts."
We also hope that other elected officials, community leaders, everyone will contact President Stephenson and ask him to end the discrimination and allow Sydney to join. Scouting is such an important program for our youth, all our children should feel welcome.
Please email AT&T CEO and Boy Scout President Randall Stephenson and respectfully ask him to allow Sydney and the other young women to join, now! President Stephenson can be emailed at Randall.Stephenson@scouting.org and please copy pr@scouting.org; myscouting@scouting.org;

Please share this petition and encourage others to sign, comment, write to the BSA and share.
