Fact: The Australian Grid’s one main requirement is a constant electricity supply 24/7. To fulfill that requirement requires generators, that are able to generate 24/7.
Which electricity generators can be relied on to generate 24/7 and which are FAKES which cannot supply 24/7.
1A. YES. Coal and gas generators are powered by fossil fuels which are able to have a constant, even supply of fuel for the complete 24 hours. They are able to supply a constant amount of electricity for the 24hrs.
1AA. Coal and gas generators have a generating life of 50 years or more, which means the capital cost of generation can be recovered over more MWhs. At a resultant lower price per MWh.
1B. YES. Uranium is a mineral fuel for a nuclear reactor. The Nuclear Reactor is able to be loaded with fuel for a constant supply for the 24 hours. It is able to supply a constant amount of electricity for the 24hrs.
1BB. A nuclear reactor has a generating life of 60 years and up to 90 years. Which means the capital cost of generation can be recovered over more MWHs. At a resultant lower price per MWh.
1C. NO. Solar Catchers are ‘Fake and Not fit for purpose’ electricity convertors. That are fueled by a weather fuel Sunshine. They only have fuel (Sunshine) when the Sun rises and at 8.30am it may produce electricity, for the next 8 hours until 4.30pm. For the next sixteen hours of darkness Solar Catchers produce zero electricity and with cloud and rain, on some days very little or zero electricity may be produced.
1CC. 1D. NO. Wind Turbines are ‘Fake and Not fit for purpose’, electricity convertors. That are fueled by a weather fuel the Wind. Because they can only produce electricity, when the wind speed is between 12kms/hr and 90kms/hr. The industry reports that Wind Turbines only produce electricity on average for only 35% of their rated capacity or on average for eight hours per day. Wind Turbines can be becalmed for days at a time, producing no electricity. 1DD. Wind turbines are designed to last 20 – 25years however with each turbine having over 8,000 parts, breakdowns may be earlier. For the above reasons, Sunshine Catchers and Wind Catcher, SHOULD NEVER BE CONSIDERED FOR SUPPLYING electricity to a Grid, which requires a constant electricity supply 24/7.
AS THE TRUTH CONTINUES TO BE REVEALED THAT THE TRANSITION TO UNRELIABLES IS A FARCE.
It becomes very apparent that our petition
TO STOP THE CLOSURE OF ALL THE AUSTRALIAN COAL FIRED POWER STATIONS AND TO KEEP THEM RUNNING IS OF THE UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
This includes Eraring NOW 2027, Yallourn NOW 2032), Bayswater in 2033, with Loyang A in 2045 and all other coal fired power stations.
And no consideration of them being closed be considered until assured supplies of base load electricity 24/7 is available from coal, gas or uranium powered generators. Even if this requires the coal fired generators be compulsory acquired by the relevant Government, in the National interest and to maintain the supply of base load electricity 24/7 that is essential to STOP the Grid from collapsing.

Example: Eastern States 27th July 7.45pm AEST. Batteries 0%, Biomass 0%, Black Coal 45% Brown Coal 17%, Gas 3%, Hydro 8% Diesel 0% Solar 0%, Wind 27%. 7.45pm a time when solar has gone for its daily 16 hours (lack of fuel), zero production period. Unreliable wind is all over the place averaging only 27%, but ranging from a pathetic 8% in Qld, up to 90% in SA.
To underline the importance of our coal fired generators 27/07/25 7.45 pm AEST. In NSW coal is producing 74% Solar 0%, Wind 24%, Qld coal 74%, solar 0% wind 8% Vic Brown coal 61%, solar 0%, wind 36%. SA batteries 6%, gas 4%, solar 90%, wind 40% and Tas hydro 97%, wind 3%.
