Historic Landmark Application Filed

Supporters of saving the Chancery filed an application yesterday with the City of Rockford seeking local Rockford Historic Landmark designation status for the building.

It is our hope and expectation that this action will put at least a temporary halt on the Bishop’s plan to demolish the building while the Historic Preservation Commission and Rockford City Council consider the request.
