The developer Lendlease has submitted a planning application for Smithfield. There are over 150 documents to read....But to sum it all up, the large park we have all campaigned for covers only about 5% of the site, is poorly located and boxed in on all four sides. 

The attached map shows that Birmingham city centre, where Smithfield is located, has a green space deficit. For more details on this, see the City of Nature plan. The proposed park is no bigger than Cathedral Square.
