Today the campaign for a new signature park in the city centre of Birmingham reached another milestone with 7500 supporters. As a result of your fantastic support, which led to the petition being resubmitted in July, CityPark4Brum will now be meeting council officials this month to discuss green space plans for the wholesale markets site in Smithfield as well as other development sites in the city. All this is part of the Greener Birmingham initiative, a coalition of organisations working across the city to create spaces for wildlife and people. So please continue to spread the word by asking your friends and relatives to sign the petition, which is still open to more supporters.
