Small win at the Bayside Council meeting on Wed 11 Dec... + Waze or new App coming up!

Hi All,
I attended the last Bayside council meeting for the year 2019 on Wed and was asked to speak on our behalf, so I did.
The meeting video is here, mostly boring, but some hilarious bits when LIB Councillor Michael Nagi speaks, about 2h18 into the meeting, Enjoy a good laugh!

I was warned by quite a few people around the Booralee Park prior to the meeting that we were dealing with a bunch of pencil pushers, and as expected, they indeed delivered!
Fair to say we haven't got what we requested yet, but here is what we did manage to get so far, small victory, there is hope:
1) A possible trial at Mutch Park, although we did request for a trial at Booralee Park.
2) Lots of red tape to actually make it happen. Amazed at how good the Bayside council is at generating red tape!
And I can't remember being given a valid reason why it couldn't happen at Booralee Park. However, the Park they picked for the trial, the Mutch park, is now suspected to have Asbestos so the council needs to investigate that first, as part of the amazing red tape generation capabilities I was mentioning above...LOL!
Quite an experience attending that meeting. What I personally got out of it is that "Listening skills" is definitely not their forte!
Anyway, we will let them deal with that from here on, I am suspecting it will take them 2-5 years to actually deliver anything meaningful...
We will call this "Plan A", but I wanted to let you all know what I am planning to do, beside what the council is doing at their snail pace:
- Plan B: Currently having a look at the feasibility of using the Waze smartphone app to help us with the tracking of Rangers / Animal Inspectors and possibly even Parking Inspectors. If they can add the 2-3 new report icons for us, I will let everyone know how to download and use it...
- Plan C: What I am also starting to investigate, is a possible crowd funded development of our own tracking app. I will let you know when and if we end up going down that road. Being a mobile App developer myself, we already have one of the resources required to implement it, I could see an April beta version and a May-June delivery...
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year 2020 to all!
