Judicial Review claimant and Hendon resident, Rick Lecoat, has asked us to share this message ...

"As you may know by now, my claim to have a Judicial Review examine the lawfulness of the SPD was last week granted permission to proceed by the courts.

The battle isn’t over yet, certainly, but this is a huge step forward.
I brought this legal action because I felt that all other avenues of challenge and communication had been exhausted and law was the only resort left to an ordinary Hendon resident such as myself.

The simple fact, however, is that I could NEVER have got this far without the immensely generous support of amazing, public-spirited individuals such as yourselves. The response from our local community has been overwhelming.

This milestone moment, therefore, feels like a good time to offer up a huge and sincere THANK YOU to everybody who has supported me in this endeavour.

Whether you chipped in via GoFundMe, or bought a tee-shirt, or contributed directly, you should know that every single penny has made a difference. I may be the individual bringing this legal challenge, but if, as I hope, the courts rule in my favour and deem the SPD unlawful, then the victory will be entirely yours.

The fight goes on, so watch this space.
