"A Notice of Motion to phase out the cosmetic use of pesticides was brought to Council in 2008, but it did not go through. More work and research needed to be done on this, and it is my understanding that it is still being worked on, though I have not heard any updated information as of yet. Councillor MacLeod supports the limiting of pesticide use, but not a complete ban of it. This is because there are some arguments to be made for trained and targeted use, such as in the case of controlling noxious weeds." It is a partial win. Now to hear from the remaining aldermen.
