Since the beginning of the Covid19 pandemic - the Federal Government has gone VERY quiet on a Federal Integrity Commission.

But please DON'T be fooled Australia - their CLAYTONS Federal ICAC legislation still sits waiting for an appropriate time (for them) to ram through Parliament with their very slim majority!

This Commission's power to find and actually stop corruption - MAKING MPs, Senators and others ACCOUNTABLE - has been DENIED by  ALL of those who have experience and knowledge of corruption-fighting legal processes.

The Federal Government's ICAC has been described as ineffectual, a damp squid and the ICAC you have when you don't really WANT a Federal ICAC!

It is also NOT retrospective!

Nor does it contain ANY form of Code of Conduct OR Integrity for our Politicians OR their Political PARTIES!

However Dr. Haines Federal Integrity Commission DOES..

And despite Helen Haines being viewed more as a Liberal Independent MP - her Bill has been supported by members of BOTH sides of Politics! 

And by ALL the other cross-benchers..

So rather than potential Federal ICAC legislation - we MUST support THIS Federal ICAC Bill which is ALREADY in the House of Representatives!

Legislation already written and ready to go but which the Government REFUSES to put on the Agenda for its Second Reading - so it can be debated and voted on!

So please if you WANT a strong, retrospective  Federal Integrity Commission PLEASE ENCOURAGE as many as you can to support Helen Haines' Bill

And PLEASE sign and share this petition and any others that exist
