A quick email to ask for your help. In May of this year the developers announced that the carpark would remain, great news. But they also stuck to their original plan to choke down the 50m wide easement to 20m as it enters that reserve. We find this change unacceptable and have been working hard to get a better result for the community. Unfortunately the Auckland Council has failed us once again and are siding with the developers in reducing future access to the public reserve, and the developers have been secretly lobbying the Minister of Finance (Bill English - now Steven Joyce) to cancel the last section of Pacific Road and allow it to be realigned and reduced. All without the due process of public notification and consultation.
