We are taking the bold step of naming the person we would like to see in the Commissioner’s chair at OASAS: Stephanie Campbell

Stephanie is a person in sustained recovery, a family member, and mom of two beautiful daughters, earned three Master’s degrees, worked in the New York state legislature, was the Executive Director of Friends of Recovery New York and is currently the Director of New York State Ombudsman Program. She’s trained other professionals and peers to work in the field.

Stephanie uses her lived experience and compassion to advocate, fight and help people every day. We all know her name, we all know what she stands for. We all know what she can do for the people in New York State. With the current increases in overdose deaths, we have no more time to wait!
