As you may know on March 1st 2017 a new law came into place surrounding the use of mobile phones at the wheel of a car. The penalties are now effectively doubled so surely by adding waze to carplay we can remove our phones from the dashboard and just focus on the road ahead with the map on the cars built in screen. If the phone is on the dash/windscreen and a message comes up the temptation is there to click this message and read into it futhur or even to just read it as a pop up notification, both of these are a distraction. If waze was on your carplay device then your phone would be out of reach and that temptation would be avoided! Waze and carplay could reduce the things we have stuck into our windscreen there by improving visibility. And keeping us drivers focused on the road ahead. Remove the temptation and possibility of reading messages and alerts on our phones. We can save lives and keep the growth of technology going! Drive safe everyone.
