As you may know, the ongoing war in Ukraine has brought immense suffering, not only to humans but also to countless animals. Since February 2022, the Animal Welfare Investigations Project has been dedicated to providing critical support to these animals.
We have been on the frontlines, delivering food, funding on-the-ground rescuers, and awarding grants to sustain efforts amid the chaos.
In 2022, our team led several life-saving operations into Ukraine, ensuring animals had food to survive. Throughout 2023, we continued to support brave rescuers risking their lives every day. Now, in 2024, our grants are keeping hope alive for many. But, despite our unwavering efforts, the situation remains dire.
Tragically, as the war drags on, the world’s attention is shifting away. Donations for animals in Ukraine have plummeted, leaving more and more animals to fend for themselves on the streets.
The animals are frightened, hungry, and in desperate need of care. Their human guardians, too, are struggling under the constant threat of danger, never knowing when death could rain from the sky.
We cannot turn our backs on these animals and their dedicated guardians who are still on the ground, dodging bullets, explosions, and debris every day to save lives. These compassionate individuals are driven by a love for animals, just like you. But their bravery and dedication alone are not enough—they need your support.
