Have you ever needed the actual booking information for your flight? And, did you know that the easiest way to get that info is by using the airline’s booking reference number?

App in the Air is a unique mobile app for air travel. It’s the Personal Travel Assistant that keeps passengers up-to-date with real-time trip status, airport tips, as well as profiles of each logged flight. Additionally, the app works offline by sending gate changes and flight status updates via text message, which means no roaming charges! Now we are working to get our users even more of the type of important and updates they need.

In the past, customers used unique booking reference numbers that provided pertinent data for each trip (e-ticket numbers, flight numbers, dates, seats and class of service, etc.) and mobile boarding passes. But recently, while still allowing passengers to use the carrier’s websites to get information by passenger name and PNR/booking reference number, the industry’s Global Distribution Systems (GSD) have stopped providing third party access to this information.

App in the Air’s new functionality and increased scope can restore access to this data, giving users the information they need faster, while also allowing them to track and manage each itinerary in real time.

It is with this type of customer conveyance in focus, that App in the Air is petitioning each GDS (including Amadeus, Navitaire, Sabre, and Travelport) to renew access to booking reference numbers.
