An Update on 183 Main Street East and A Request For Your Continued Support

Since launching this petition four years ago, the fight to save 183 Main Street East in Kingsville continues.  The House is now designated heritage and is called the Esther Jasperson Campbell House however a developer has now requested to physically move it which may affect its heritage value.

Where We Are Now:

• Town Council recently passed the amended Official Plan which limits buildings in this area of Main Street to 4 storeys and a maximum of 15.5m
• The Developer has proposed to make changes to the current zoning to allow for a 42-unit multiple dwelling building. To facilitate this development, changes to setbacks and height restrictions are being requested.
• The Developer is proposing to move the Esther Jasperson Campbell House closer to Main Street and closer to the property line to the west.
• Town Council is considering these changes at an upcoming meeting set to take place on October 23 starting at 6:00 pm
• According to the Town Website the meeting is to take place at Council Chambers at 2021 Division Road North
