Dear Adobe Staff

Adobe Premiere has become one of the most used editing softwares in the industry. However, even though it has gained great features over the recent years, there are some major issues which simply are not adressed and therefore make it difficult to use Premiere in a professional environment:

One of these issues is the lack performance and the non-effective use of resources in Premiere Pro - especially CPU-usage on PC's*. Often Premiere just uses 10-30% of the CPU-power while rendering: Creating preview files, using the new proxy function and rendering (also with Adobe Media Encoder) is often outrageously slow because of underused resources! And yet, there is no explanation or solution to the users having that problem.

Hundreds of threads in the Web have been created over the recent years by concerned useres which point out one thing: the issue is not new and has simply not been adressed by the responsible staff at Adobe Systems. Ironically,  many of those threads are in Adobes own forum - therefore they know about this problem! In one thread a writer stated having talked to Adobe Staff and that they told him it's because Premiere also needs to run on slower machines. Though, a well programmed software should be able to use its resources effectivly! Blackmagic Designs Resolve is a good example when it comes to using resources effectivly. The result: better performance and much faster rendering (2 to 3 times the speed of Premiere rendering)!

Many of us are tired of spending thousands of dollars in powerful PCs** and workstations and not getting the performence that is to be expected: 10-30% CPU usage is simply not enough! Rather than a fast and restless creation of fancy features this issue needs to be adressed immediatly as it has been there for too long! 

Therefore, we kindly ask you to take care of this issue in the next update, improve the use of resources and make Premiere/Adobe Media Encoder give us better performance!
