But cutting off the snake's tail isn't enough. We need to slice off the head. That's why we're asking the State Legislature and Governor to pull TCA's joint powers authority. TCA has bungled transportation planning here for over 30 years. Engineers know that Induced Demand-- increasing traffic through the illusion of more road space-- is the reason "you can't build your way out of congestion." But that's what TCA is promising with their "alternative route to the I-5" project. Just old 70s era dogma. But they promote it solely to keep their agency alive at the expense of your quality of life. It's time to abolish TCA.
