After Monday when we were told Claire would be in Brighton by today, we have a court hearing in London on Friday. Yes, we have gone public now - not through wanting to, not for a fight, but just because we are a family who want the best for our daughter, who deserves it. We have nothing to lose - for a girl who has been home 267 times out of 328 days while on section 3 of the MHA - as we are just desperate that she gets her wish, as she has been promised by professionals on numerous occasions - that she will remain close to home. Surely the fact she is home here so much should count for something, especially as we have said that if they take her off the section we will have her home immediately. Her sister and brother are very worried about what will happen (and they can't understand how the sister they see daily can be sent so far away from them) as are we, her parents, and both sets of grandparents. It's not fair. And it is so cruel. We are all exhausted, physically and emotionally. Why is this happening. Yes....Claire gets her spells of behaviours BUT.......to be home as often as she is shows that she can be managed. We are overwhelmed with all the wishes of support. Thank you.
