Lake Ontario on a Presto Card

Good evening, everyone!

Global News is reporting that Metrolinx handed out nearly 1 000 Presto cards this afternoon at the Union UP station with the slogan: "Lake Ontario, Now and Always."  (Source here.)

It is clearly evident that the powers that be at Metrolinx appreciate the magnitude of the Lake Ontario name.

With your help, we will be able to let Metrolinx and the Premier know how important Lake Ontario is to our heritage. Metrolinx acknowledged this today with its special edition Presto card. But nothing speaks more to a lasting legacy and statement of who we are as a people than the names we choose to impart on infrastructure. We need look no further than the ongoing saga south of the border with the Kennedy Centre for that.
