WE'VE DONE IT! LIBERIA DRUG LAW PASSED

On Thursday, November 10, 2022, the House of Senate of the Liberian Legislature voted yes on the passage of the Drug and Substance Controlled Act of 2014 after a year of deliberations on the floor. 

Key to the passage was the support of count 1 of the Africa Youth Partnership- Liberia Youth Task Team petition, calling for the importation of drugs to be non-bailable. 

As a joint committee is being setup, the African Youth Partnership-Liberia Youth Task Team will continue to engage with the committee to ensure that passages and articles of the laws remained unaltered.
