Rivers are only part of the fragility of New Zealand’s “clean and green” branding. The future is looking uncertain for this country’s iconic wildlife and ecology, and this is
due to the government’s DISREGARD for and IGNORANCE of the biodiversity and the overall environment. A major threat to the country’s biodiversity is the widespread USE of POISONS to combat "portrayed invasions" by introduced wild animals.
