«На днях подтвердилась информация о гибели льва Фили, который прославился почти на всю Россию, - говорится в петиции. - Директор парка Тайган Зубков намеренно не закрыл ворота вольера, где находился прайд, в котором жил Филя. Он и его друг лев Витя покинули свою территорию и оказались на чужой территории прайда Чука, львы которого и убили Филю... Как это произошло никто толком не знает, но Филя мертв и его труп и труп еще одного льва или львицы украдкой вывезли из сафари, чтобы быстро утилизировать, возможно сжечь, чтобы ни одна проверка не смогла найти улик, указывающих на смерть животных».
В своём блоге Олег Зубков по вопросу о гибели львов выразился следующим образом:

Каждому интернет-пользователю не обязательно знать все подробности жизни и событий, происходящих в парке.

Я вправе продать любое животное, обменять, подарить или даже усыпить, если в этом есть острая необходимость.
