Water Crisis In South Africa

In South Africa, incompetence, incapacity and inability to provide effective water management and distribution systems by local government has affected many communities from accessing appropriate water and sanitation.

This has had dire effects on the lives of fellow South Africans. Communities have had to live through a pandemic where they are encouraged to wash their hands constantly without access to water. Sanitation has been a challenge for schools, surrounding healthcare facilities and those who have livestock. Expecting communities to find alternative solutions to the water shortage adds more expenses to their already strained income in communities that are economically marginalised. It is without doubt that the communities bear the consequences of corruption and irresponsible leadership at local level.

This is a call for South Africans to come together and collectively speak up against South Africa's poor water management and distribution system. Bring your collective voices together to hold the President and the Government of South Africa to account, and get them to address the water crisis as a matter of urgency.
