Susan Honda is a political figure and elected official serving on the Federal Way City Council, Position 3. First elected in November 2011, she has been recognized multiple times as the Best City Leader in Federal Way. Honda has a long history of public service, including six years on the Federal Way Arts and Diversity Commissions. On the council, she has served on and chaired various committees, including the Parks, Recreation, Human Services & Public Safety Committee, the Land Use and Transportation Committee, and the Finance and Economic Development, Regional Affairs Committee. Honda is also involved in planning the Downtown re-development, and supports the Police Department and Municipal Court. She has an Advanced Certificate of Municipal Leadership.
