Peter Allen Stauber is an American politician, former professional hockey player, and retired law enforcement officer currently serving as the United States Representative for Minnesota's 8th congressional district. A member of the Republican Party, Stauber has been in office since 2019. Before his political career, Stauber was a professional hockey player with the Detroit Red Wings organization. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Lake Superior State University. Stauber's career also includes roles as a Lieutenant in the Duluth Police Department and Commissioner at St. Louis County. He was a co-owner of Stauber Brothers in Hermantown and served as a councilmember for the Hermantown City Council.
