Mike Carey is a multifaceted public figure with a diverse background in sports, academia, and politics. He is a former American football official in the NFL, where he was recognized by his uniform number, 94. Before his officiating career, he played college football as a running back at Santa Clara University. Mike Carey holds an Associate's degree in Economics from Marion Military Institute and a Bachelor's degree in History from The Ohio State University. He has served in various roles, including as a Congressional Staff Member at the U.S. House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate, an Officer in the U.S. Army Reserve, and as Representative for Ohio's 15th District. Additionally, he has been involved in leadership roles as President of the Ohio Coal Association and Vice President of Government Affairs at American Consolidated Natural Resources, Inc.
