David Smith is a distinguished American volleyball player known for his significant contributions to the sport both on and off the court. As a middle blocker, he plays for ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle and the U.S. national team. Smith's athletic achievements include winning a bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Rio 2016 and Paris 2024, securing a World Cup victory in 2015, and claiming three Champions League titles with ZAKSA. In addition to his volleyball career, Smith pursued academics diligently, earning a JD from Tulane University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri. He is also active in politics, having served as a State Representative for District 46 at the Missouri State House of Representatives, and is a founding partner at Smith & Parnell, LLC.
