David Sieck is an American farmer and Republican politician from Glenwood, Iowa. Born and raised in Council Bluffs, Iowa, Sieck has dedicated much of his career to agriculture and public service. He became a member of the Iowa House of Representatives after winning a special election in February 2015, succeeding Mark Costello, who moved to the Iowa Senate after Joni Ernst's departure. As a steadfast member of the Republican Party, Sieck has focused on issues pertinent to his constituents, particularly in agriculture and rural development. Throughout his agricultural career, he has received over $1.2 million in taxpayer-funded subsidies since 1995, reflecting his long-standing involvement in farming. Sieck continues to serve his community through his legislative duties in the Iowa House.
