Chapin Rose is an American politician and a dedicated member of the Republican Party. He has been serving as a State Senator in the Illinois Senate for the 51st district since January 2013. His district encompasses parts of McLean, DeWitt, Macon, Piatt, Shelby, Moultrie, Douglas, Champaign, Vermillion, and Edgar counties in Central Illinois. Before his tenure in the Senate, Rose was a member of the Illinois House of Representatives from 2003 to 2013. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Illinois and a Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law. Rose has also contributed to academia as an adjunct faculty member at Eastern Illinois University and Danville Area Community College.
