Başbakan

Başbakan is the Turkish term for Prime Minister, the head of government in a parliamentary system. The Başbakan holds executive authority and typically oversees the operation of the government, steering national policy and legislation. Depending on the particular constitution of the country, Başbakan's role may range from supervising the Council of Ministers, representing the government in the parliament, to being the country representative in international organizations and agreements. The Başbakan is usually the leader of the largest party or coalition in the parliament and is appointed by the President.
