Currently, if a government shutdown occurs hundreds of thousands of American's will be forced to go without needed services or paychecks .... unless they happen to be Members of Congress or the President. Debbie Stabenow cosponsored a bill (S.388) with Senators Boxer and Casey that would stop pay for Congress and the President if the government is forced to shut down for more than 24 hours.
