LGBT kids are being harassed, on a daily basis, in schools all over the US. Statistics show that suicide is increasing among LGBT-identified school kids as a result of peer to peer harassment. This has to stop. Bullying is not acceptable under any circumstances; calling these kids a "distraction" for just being themselves is blaming the victim .We need to stop the violence, abuse and stigma around LGBT in our schools. Please make your voice heard. Sign the petition and forward it to all LGBT individuals, friends, families and allies. We need to stand strong against this kind of thinking. The problem is not LGBT identification, the problem is bullying is seen as acceptable. We need our school systems to teach kids that diversity is the human experience and that violence, abuse and stigma are not acceptable.
