Dirk Becker changed an abandoned gravel pit into a beautiful vegetable and fruit farm. He is being forced to cease his gardening even though Lantzville is in the process of modifying the bylaw to allow people to grow food.  He has been told to stop farming and that he is not allowed to sell his food.
