We ask Meijer and Menards to move to any of the abundant, already available retail spaces in the area around Evergreen Park and the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago, IL instead of paving over 45 acres of important historic green space filled with wildlife and hundreds of old-growth Oak trees. The Evergreen golf course property is not appropriate for a development of this size and will create severe cost, safety and environmental issues. We ask for responsible economic development. We say: "IF YOU CHOP, WE WON'T SHOP!"
