Rachel Kendall asked Wells Fargo to modify her mortgage to a lower rate. Wells Fargo granted Rachel a 6 month forbearance plan but when Rachel went to their branch to make her payment Wells refused to accept her payment and told her to make it over the phone but that didn't work either - they would not accept it! They told Rachel to wire the payment which she did but it was never credited to her account. Two weeks later Rachel found a notice of sale on her door. One month later she lost her home to auction.
