John G. Stumpf, the CEO of Wells Fargo, was petitioned by Michele Varney from Alton, NH, asking Wells Fargo to rescind Rachel Kendall's foreclosure auction and to modify her mortgage to a lower rate. With 618 supporters they won their campaign, and on August 30, 2012 Wells Fargo reversed Rachel Kendall's foreclosure. The deed to Rachel's home is back in her name.

Rachel Kendall asked Wells Fargo to modify her mortgage to a lower rate. Wells Fargo granted Rachel a 6 month forbearance plan but when Rachel went to their branch to make her payment Wells refused to accept her payment and told her to make it over the phone but that didn't work either - they would not accept it! They told Rachel to wire the payment which she did but it was never credited to her account. Two weeks later Rachel found a notice of sale on her door. One month later she lost her home to auction. Please tell Wells Fargo to rescind Rachel Kendall's foreclosure auction!

If anyone doubts that this is an illegal foreclosure please read this Huffington Post article explaining the horrible things these banks do to homeowners. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/27/foreclosure-crisis-twisted-world-mortgage-lender-error_n_1236634.html Wells Fargo is highlighted in the article.

Cause Wells is doing the exact same thing to me refusing to lower my rate via refinancing and having the nerve to tell me I do NOT qualify for a lower due to my low income, while all other components cr. score, equity, bad debt etc are perfect and superly qualifying me. WELLS FARGO believe$$$ paying 7% rate while my income is in the pitts is better than 3.5%.!! WOW

They want me in the streets and they dont care . They will help the rich get a lower rate but not me, the to date never defaulted payer.

They need to be stopped, curb their greed!

The 2008 bank-caused economic collapse has taught us NOTHING??

We also have a loan with Wells that we tried for months to have modified, all with the reassurance we were doing EVERYTHING right and would not get foreclosed on. We were part of the July 4, robosigners thing and received a Notice of Default shortly after. Luckily, we were able to save our home, but to this day, still suffer with dealings with this horrible bank. I SIGN and I hope you kick some serious bankster bootie!

Wells Fargo is illegally taking homes from people. They are unorganized, unprofessional and they are doing this to thousands of people across the country. They have to be stopped. John Stumpf you should be ashamed of yourself!
