Statistics: 58 million Americans are overweight; 40 million are obese and 3 million morbidly obese. By 2030, 42% of Americans will be obese and cost $1 Trillion more in health costs.

Currently the FDA requires Food Labeling to be in grams. But most Americans don’t understand the metric system. By converting grams to teaspoons, Americans will have a better grasp of how much sugar they are consuming. For example, a can of soda contains 40 grams of sugar and most shrug and drink it. But what if it said it contained over 10 teaspoons of sugar?

Too many calories from sugar-rich foods can lead to obesity.

That's why we started this petition to: 1) Add the number of teaspoons of sugar contained in the whole product on the front of the package; 2) Add the number of teaspoons of sugar in each serving on the side label, "Nutritional Facts."
