Why This Is Important

Bednets which cost just $5 stop children, their mothers and fathers from getting malaria. This means they can stay well and go to school, work and earn a living. Medication for life-threatening illnesses like TB and HIV can also keep people alive, healthy, well and productive. The G8 leaders promised the Global Fund money to combat these life-threatening and debilitating illnesses. One DAY of US military spending is MORE than one YEAR of the US commitment. PLEASE sign our petition. Hold the G8 Nations to account. We want our taxes spent on people not military hardware, on health not bankers' bonuses. Save the Global Fund now - please sign this petition - and millions around the world will thank you.
