As one of the Original Six National Hockey League franchises with a very strong regional fan base, with a great attendance record, excellent branding and promotional efforts and presumably a profitable organization, we the signed feel the time is right for a National Hockey League franchise to be allowed in the Milwaukee, Wisconsin market.

This would re-establish a local rivalry which was lost when the Detroit Red Wings moved to the other Conference.

This move would allow hockey fans just 90 miles north and above the opportuntiy to enjoy and support NHL hockey in their home state and would be a great show of the Blackhawks brass confidence in their own brand and fan base.

We Blackhawk fans would welcome the local competition and would continue to support our home team and would cheer on the beating of our neighbors north of the chedder border!

And we Wisconsin fans will support our boys' efforts to climb that "Big Rocky Candy Mountain".
