Just read an article about the GCSE's on the front page of the free press - Im a tad shocked at the low expectations and satisfaction of The West Somerset College. A drop of some 11% in 5 or more passes compared to last year ( 38% v 49%) but Nationally the percentage was almost 69%.
The article went on to say "there were success stories..... 95% achieving an A to C in one subject" if this is success I fear to think what failure looks like.
What's going on? I think the college has questions needing to be answered!
