This petition is to ask West Lothian Council to reconsider their decision to refuse Beecraigs Festive Forest an entertainment license for their illuminated trail.
WLC highlighted the licence was rejected on the grounds of “public safety fears regarding Covid-19 and that they did not want large volumes of people travelling to West Lothian.. “. West Lothian Council are currently allowing large volumes of people to travel to West Lothian to attend other similar illumination events at the Wondrous Woods (Hopetoun House) and the 5 Sisters Zoo (West Calder). I cannot understand the logic of this decision. Surely as long as social distancing measures are in place, masks are worn and hand sanitizer is on offer, this event presents no more risk than the similar events that have been granted licences in the district.
I still want my kids to enjoy the run up to Christmas by attending a family event, so please sign to stop WLC being the Grinch that stole Christmas!
