May please your honor, With reference to the subject cited above, we the undersigned beg to submit as under – We are the Ayurvedic Medical practitioners.Ayurvedic Medical Science descended from Rishi-munis from Vedic period .It is the perfect health science. However, the Ayurvedic medical science is developing like anything in recent days. There are degree course and post graduation in Ayurvedic Medical science .Even in degree course the advanced modern medicine theory, having been prescribed is being taught to such students. So, the Ayurvedic medical practitioners [students for that matter] acquired the knowledge of the modern scientific system of medicine. It seems that there is bar or prohibition in the central enactment for the ayurvedic medical Practitioners to practice on allopathic side, although the Ayurvedic Medical practitioner can make use of Radiologist report and X-Ray etcOur Nation is Rural India ,According to world Health organization , the Ratio of population to MBBS doctors is 1 ; 1000.But in our country , the said ratio is 1;1900.The health of Rural Indian population is not up to the mark .Some of the Medical doctors are reluctant and are  not willing to go to the rural areas .Their approach to the court and bringing the stay clearly states that they are not willing to serve the people in Rural India.There is also too much scarcity of such medical doctors  .So, the health condition of people of rural India would be in pathetic .However the ayurvedic medical practitioners would be willing to go to rural India and would humbly serve the rural people of our country so that the health of the rural people of our country would certainly improve better.Certain states like Haryana, Maharashtra etc have affected the necessary amendments to the words ‘Registered Medical Practitioners’ in the concerned provisions of the Drugs and cosmetics Act 1940 and Drug rules 1945 there under,so as enable the Ayurvedic practitioners to practice on allopathic side. The Hon’ble Supreme court upheld the constitutional validity of such amendments. Therefore we all the Ayurvedic Medical Practitioners in our country in one strong voice request your Honor to kindly effect the Necessary amendments to the relevant provisions of the concerned enactment or Rules, so that the Ayurvedic Medical practitioners can also practice on allopathic medical side [For that matter sub-clause [iii] of clause [ee] of Drugs and cosmetics Rules 1945 for the purpose of Drugs and Cosmetic Act1940
