America has the worst participation rate of all the democracies in the world. Not only that, for the first time in American history a political party is working hard to limit the right of people to go to the polls and vote. By making Voting Day a national holiday, all people will have more access to participate and cast their vote. It's only the right thing to do.

      Dear President Obama,

It's clear that voter "ID" laws are really voter suppression, and we know whose votes they are designed to suppress: The very people we believe will give you a second term -- which you deserve and the country needs! Please consider ordering that every first Tuesday in November will be a federal holiday. This action will improve participation in democracy and may even save American Democracy from extinction, now that it is endangered by Citizens United.

We have a civic duty to vote. Making voting more accessible benefits democracy.
