We Stand With Stella Creasy

We Stand With Stella Creasy
The Issue
Five years ago, I was silently shouldering the burden of spiralling pay day loans. I felt ashamed, alone and powerless. Little did I know that there were hundreds of thousands of people just like me, shamed into silence like I was. I didn't know that because there was no one to speak for us, no one brave enough to take on the industry, no one prepared to offer the support we needed to launch our campaign.
That is, until Stella Creasy.
Stella Creasy, MP for Walthamstow, has proven time and again the influence you can have from opposition. She has been a rare example of a politician prepared to act as well as speak, to give power to the people rather than demand the people give her power. She has forced the government to regulate the legal loan sharking that blighted so many communities, she stood up for victims of domestic violence, she fought the wave of misogynist bullying that so many activists have to endure online.
Now a vocal minority have decided they don't like her. Well, I will not be the silent majority.
I am asking those that support Stella Creasy to sign their name, to show that those that shout loudest do not represent the many, that those that potest most violently are not always right.
I stand with Stella Creasy.
