Adopt an Anti Racism Policy in All Irish Schools

Adopt an Anti Racism Policy in All Irish Schools

The Issue

There is not currently an anti racism policy in schools across Ireland laid out by government. Although you will find policies on healthy eating and anti bullying there is no policy covering anti racism. Mentioning identity based bullying under the 2013 anti bullying action plan does not suffice. By signing you are calling on the minister of education Norma Foley to acknowledge the absence of a government/board of education supported anti racism schools policy and that racism in schools needs its own reference and not tied or put under the umbrella of bullying. Although it appears schools have a policy almost everything very few schools have anti racism policy in place. We as a country need to change this.
