The Ride Or Cry movement is about choosing greener ways to travel.  You have the choice to RIDE by choosing eco-friendly travel methods.  This helps to reduce traffic congestion.  The other choice is to be apart of the problem and make you and others CRY because of the longer commute times.

Austin, Texas is 4th in the nation for the worst traffic congestion. The average commute time is 70 minutes. During SXSW, the commute time is only going to get worst because this event attracts over 72,000 attendees.

Many of these travelers will be using rideshare and car share vehicles to get around.  90% of these vehicles operate with an empty seat.   So if you are using a ride share vehicle to travel to SXSW events, offer the empty seats to other attendees going to the same event.  Let’s choose to walk, bike, bus, and share a ride to SXSW.  We have more transportation options now than we ever had before. Austin has about 15 different transportation options to get you mov'in instead of sitting still in traffic.
