Burning Man is a community centered around the creation and appreciation of art in all its forms.

The Burning Man event and its affiliated communities are guided by principles, one in particular: decommodification.

Scalping a ticket higher than $800 (which was the original price for pre-sale tickets) is going against this principle of the Burning Man community.

On the organizations website it states:

"Whenever we could undeniably prove that someone was selling their tickets for a markup, we cancelled their tickets and notified them that they were no longer valid" - BurningMan.org

To prevent tickets from being cancelled and causing inconveniences on both the Scalper and Attendee, Stubhub could prevent this from happening by enforcing a price limit for the Burning Man event.

If you are apart of the Burning Man community (virgin or not) and honor it's core principles, supporting this petition will respect these principles and allow people to purchase (on a first-come, first-serve basis) to this event, just as the burning man tickets are sold on their official sales via: http://tickets.burningman.org/
