The UK government is proposing to use the old prison called Northeye to house up to 1200 immigrants!!

This area is unsuitable due to it being in a residential area, and also  Bexhill on Sea is a seaside resort and small town and this sort of development is not in keeping with the area. Although it was a cat C prison in the past it has been closed in 1992, and a riot took place in 1986 where 40% of the prison was destroyed. which would be a worry if the immigrants were to riot and with the possibility of escape making the town unsafe, like has happened at other centres!!

I propose that the government reconsider this move and Huw Merriman takes up our concerns and get this unsuitable plan removed
